May the Fourth Be with You

Today is Star Wars Day. How do I know that, you might ask. I know because I grew up as a giant, giant, embarrassingly enthusiastic Star Wars nerd.

It’s my mom’s fault. I can’t even remember the first time I watched the original trilogy; it’s just always been around.

First, I’d like to show you what the view from my seat looks like:

Of course, I’m not the only Star Wars aficionado around the Scholastic offices. Check out our creative director’s office:

So, you can tell we are all fairly avid Star Wars fans. And you know what? It doesn’t interfere with being a giant, giant, embarrassingly enthusiastic book nerd at all! Star Wars actually has quite the literary history. Books about the Star Wars universe have been around since the 1980s, and are a great way to segue a child’s interest from movies into reading.

With that in mind, I thought a great way to celebrate Star Wars Day from the perspective of a book nerd would be to share some of the great Star Wars titles we are offering right now!

Star Wars®: Darth Maul, Sith Apprentice
SeeSaw April

LEGO® Star Wars Brickmaster
Lucky April

LEGO® Star Wars: Darth Maul’s Mission
Honeybee May

Star Wars® The Clone Wars: Epic Battles in 3-D
Lucky April

Star Wars® The Clone Wars: Head to Head
Lucky May

Star Wars® Folded Flyers
Summer Reading Older Special Offer

Star Wars® Movie Boxed Set
Arrow April

So there you have it. Check out these great reads and relive the movies. And of course, may the Force be with you!
