Usborne: Mi primera enciclopedia del mundo
Available in Club Leo
Reviewed by Spanglish Baby

“As a parent raising bilingual children, my favorite part of Mi primera enciclopedia del mundo is that it allows me to expose my children to vocabulary they wouldn’t normally be exposed to. One of the biggest worries that parents of bilingual children have is that our children’s vocabulary in Spanish won’t be as extensive as it’ll be in English since they get schooled in the latter, but books like Mi primera enciclopedia del mundo can definitely help in this arena.” Read More

The Kane Chronicles #3: The Serpent’s Shadow by Rick Riordan
Available in Club Shop, Arrow, and TAB
Reviewed by 5 Minutes for Books

“Rick Riordan makes his characters sound so REAL, and it’s so easy to relate to them. They’re so familiar by the end of each book. His writing is just so funny. All of his characters have a pretty sarcastic outlook on life, making light of basically anything that happens.” Read More

Guinness World Records 2012

Reviewed by She Saved

“My son cannot get enough of this book, and I remember feeling the same way when I was a kid. It is packed FULL of fun facts and it is so fun (and so fascinating!) to check out the amazing photos and see the crazy lengths that some people will go to just to set a record!” Read More

Folk and Fairy Tales Pack
Available in Firefly
Reviewed by No Time for Flashcards

“When I got a chance to take a sneak peek at the Scholastic Book Club selections for June I was so excited to see this seven-book pack of folk and fairy tales. I know so many of you homeschool and/or are doing summer camp at home this year and use weekly themes. These seven books would be a good addition to your fairy-tale theme or any family library.” Read More
