Editor’s Picks: TAB December

Wonder—No book in 2012 will come closer to knocking your socks off than Wonder. First you say, “Wonder?” Then you read it and say, “Wonderful!” This book is absolutely terrific. Auggie is an inspiring and heroic character, and the chapters told from different characters’ points of view give you real insight into life, the human experience, and the amazing affect one fantastic person can have on many others. Don’t forget, if you order a copy of this from TAB December, you’ll be entered for a chance to Skype with the author!

Reached—The Matched trilogy is one of the hottest dystopian series to come out since The Hunger Games. This thrilling conclusion does not disappoint.

The Secret Tree—If you read and loved Rebecca Stead’s When You Reach Me, then you will love The Secret Tree.

The Hobbit—Just in time for the movie, this classic is still one of the best fantasy books I’ve read.

Life of Pi—This bestselling winner of the Man Booker Prize about a boy who survives a shipwreck and is left adrift with his imagination and a tiger is a must-read. See the movie, read the book (or the other way around), and you won’t be disappointed.
