The day has come—Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck is finally available! And even though today is Tuesday, we’re still going out with a Wimpy Wednesday bang. We’re so excited about the release of Hard Luck, the eighth installment in Jeff Kinney’s bestselling series, that we don’t care what day of the week it is!
For our last Wimpy Wednesday post, we’re hearing from a few of our team members who have been un-wimpily working to get the eighth book into the hands of kids. Check out what they have to say:
“I cannot wait to hear the comments from all of the kids. You can see the excitement is still there by the number of boxes getting ready to be delivered! You have to love the lime green!!!”
—Jen, Assistant Director of Marketing
“I love Greg. I love this series. It makes me cry tears of laughter I laugh so hard. I also love Uncle Gary. He’s soooo creepy and awesome at the same time. I can’t wait to get my copy today!”
—Deborah, Merchandising Manager
“The thing I love most about Diary of a Wimpy Kid is that no matter who you are, something that has happened to Greg has also happened to you. It could be either a huge element of your life or a tiny moment of embarrassment. An older sibling who always seems to have the upper hand? Been there. An unfortunate chocolate stain on the back of a nice pair of pants? Been there too. Greg is a great reminder that there’s a wimp in all of us, and that’s okay.”
—Nicole, Merchandising Coordinator
“Diary of a Wimpy Kid is one of our big bestsellers and definitely an in-house favorite! It’s amazing to see all the books being packed in the warehouse! It’s like a sea of lime green books! We’re all working very hard to get these books delivered!”
—Scott, Vice President of Operations
The Wimpy Kid book boxes are on their way! Check out the beginning of their trip here:
We hope you enjoyed reading our Wimpy Wednesday posts. We sure have enjoyed blogging about Greg, the series, and what being a wimp means to us.
Even if you missed the pre-order window, you can still order Hard Luck here!
Author Bio: Jamie is a merchandising assistant for Scholastic Reading Club. His favorite Wimpy Kid character is Manny Heffley because he always gets away with everything and is so darn cute!
