Monster Mash-Up!

For several years, some friends have hosted a costume party where they ask guests to wear “mash-up” costumes. What do they mean by that? Well, if your costume were part Dolly Parton and part Salvador Dali, you’d be Salvador Dali-Parton. If you were dressed as a Quidditch player, but with the letter B taped to your costume, you’d be a B-Keeper.

We thought it would be fun to create and share some mash-up costume ideas inspired by children’s literature. See if you can figure out what we mean with the following costume equations.

If you have some other ideas, we’d love to hear them! Share your mash-up ideas in the comments below.
